Faith and Fitness

We've all been there. We set out to lose some unwanted pounds only to grow frustrated and quit after a few days.

I (Pastor Matt) have discovered that the missing ingredient is often accountability and walking the journey with others.

So...

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, we will start our first Faith and Fitness program. Invite anyone you know who wants to take care of their body to join this exciting opportunity.

Here's the information...


  • 7:45 AM - Weigh in (if you want this accountability)
  • 8 AM - brief word from the Bible about taking care of our bodies
  • Helpful words about nutrition and fitness
  • Walk (this is a great time to get in some steps and enjoy conversations


Cost: Free (but you are encouraged to purchase the book mentioned below)

When: Saturdays from 8 AM to 9 AM.

Where: White Hall Baptist Church

How long: We plan to go for about 13 weeks and end before Thanksgiving

What do I need: Walking clothes

You may also choose to purchase your own copy of "Imagine Not as Much: 13 Weeks to Better Spiritual and Physical Health" by Nathan and Tammy Whisnant. Pastor Matt will refer to it periodically. Be sure to have it with you when we show up to each meeting.
